چکیده
A finite support product of ω1 clones Jensen's minimal Π21 singleton forcing is used to define a model in which any non-empty analytically definable set reals contains an real (the full basis theorem), but there no wellordering the reals.

Algebra Universalis Full does not imply strong , does it ?
We give a duality for the variety of bounded distributive lattices that is not full (and therefore not strong) although it is full but not strong at the finite level. While this does not give a complete solution to the “Full vs Strong” Problem, which dates back to the beginnings of natural duality theory in 1980, it does solve it at the finite level. One consequence of this result is that altho...
متن کاملHeine-Borel Does not Imply the Fan Theorem
Introduction. This paper deals with locales and their spaces of points in intuitionistic analysis or, if you like, in (Grothendieck) toposes. One of the important aspects of the problem whether a certain locale has enough points is that it is directly related to the (constructive) completeness of a geometric theory. A useful exposition of this relationship may be found in [1], and we will assum...
متن کاملWeak admissibility does not imply admissibility for analytic semigroups
Two conjectures on admissible control operators by George Weiss are disproved in this paper. One conjecture says that an operator B defined on an infinite-dimensional Hilbert space U is an admissible control operator if for every element u ∈ U the vector Bu defines an admissible control operator. The other conjecture says that B is an admissible control operator if a certain resolvent estimate ...
متن کاملSuperintelligence Does Not Imply Benevolence
Asmachines become capable ofmore autonomous and intelligent behavior, will they also display more morally desirable behavior? Earth’s history tends to suggest that increasing intelligence, knowledge, and rationality will result in more cooperative and benevolent behavior. Animals with sophisticated nervous systems track and punish exploitative behavior, while rewarding cooperation. Humans form ...
متن کاملRado's Selection Lemma Does not Imply the Boolean Prime Ideal Theorem
In this paper we consider the following combinatorial theorem of R. RADO [8] henceforth refered to as RL: Let .5 be a family of finite sets and suppose that to every finite subset F of 3 there wrresponds a choice function plF whose domain is F such that plF(T) E T for each T E F . (I.e., there exists a function pl whose domain is the set of finite subsets of 3 such that for each finite F E 8, p...
